I can show you the gorgeous cabin we moved into... since we no longer live in it.
Yup. That was short-lived. Seven weeks, for those of you whose furrowed brows beg, When did they move in? It was an exhausting weekend with unsettling news, signing a new lease, and packing and moving -- all within 48 hours.

A lot of money gone
Infinite sore muscles
We moved everything by ourselves. Last year, I compared my childhood thoughts about Labor Day with the holiday's history. This year, I think S and I truly put the "labor" in Labor Day.
Sorry for the blog neglect. Genuinely, I hope your holiday weekend and week have been much better than ours!

Moving is NO fun, especially when it's twice with a few weeks. (And especially when you're forced into it!)

You guys made the right decision for yourselves and Amelie and Boone. I know it was rough, psychologically and physically, but the fact that you guys did it and aren't hardened world-haters is a testament to how awesome you both are.

Yikes! I've been worried about you. I'm glad you are somewhere where you feel safe. It's all a part of your story and this is definitely an interesting little piece.
Oh my goodness, that sounds intense! I am so sorry that the log cabin of your dreams did not work out. I hope that wherever you moved to is going to be a safer, better situation!
